Blue Cat Music School

We are at 8, St Catherine's Road, NG31 6TS - opposite the Savoy Cinema

Music Director Alan Osler brings a wealth of experience running independent music schools catering for all ages and all abilities.

Blue Cat Music School aims to open up music to anyone who wants to give it a go.

We teach piano, guitar, drums, flute, violin, clarinet, saxophone, cello, trumpet, cornet, trombone, bass, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, accordion, bagpipes and theory.

We cater for exams with ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool and Music Teachers' Board.

We put on a yearly concert for those who want to take part.

What do we offer?

A range of teaching programmes to suit all needs

Group Lessons: Learn piano in small groups of up to five. These are aimed at youngsters and take place after school hours, Monday to Thursday. Lessons are £11 booked in six-week/half term blocks and are non refundable.

Duo lessons: Lessons for two are £11 each for 30 minutes and we can do them in any instrument as long as you learn with a friend or family member who you can practise with.

Individual Lessons: Get focused one-to-one learning for £18.50 for half an hour if a block of lessons is booked.

Exam practise and preparation: Undergo a mock exam with immediate results, assessment of areas of strength and weakness and suggested revision plan. 30 minute individual session from £18.50. Exam accompaniment can also be arranged.

Occasional Lessons: If you cannot commit to weekly lessons then occasional lessons are bookable up to two weeks in advance for £22.50 for 30 minutes
